Today was simply a day from hell. Fighting a migraine, all the techs that we could not help on Friday/Saturday we had to help today.90% of those techs were from MO. One has to wonder just what the hell kind of training we have for our techs there. I am convinced they tell the techs, "We don't provision, only Tier 2 does." because that is all I did today. Provision, provision, provision.
Now granted, I would normally rather provision than answer things like "I'm not pulling an IP and I've done EVERYTHING, what do I do now?" but migraine + flashing numbers on screen = me wanting to shoot myself.
Also, lady who swore to god we gave you an IP: Fuck you. I am a trained professional. THIS is my god damn job. Do not try to outsmart me. You are not a business, and we do not give residents a static IP. You wanna keep putting numbers in your local area connection, you go right ahead. But when I tell you it's the reason yo shit don't work, it's the reason yo shit don't work!!
Also had this conversation today:
Woman: My cable TV doesn't work!
Me: OK well you have reached the tech line, if you'd hold please I will get you over to our cable TV department.
Woman: You just don't want to help me!
Me: Ma'am, I'll be honest with you. I am lazy and I am very tired. I would rather help you than explain to you that I am the wrong department, and now argue with you about if I can or can not help you.
